黑利伯瑞学校:EnglishRecitationContest——英语朗诵比赛
The first English Recitation Contest of Haileybury was held in the afternoon of July 10th. It was hosted by Johnny and Cicilia. Recitation plays an important role in one’s social life. It can increase not only your comprehension of reading, but also the ability to appreciate the art. The most important of all, via recitation, you can cultivate your behaviors and reinforce your understanding to a higher grade. To a lower grade, you can obtain the ability to sense the power of the language and to identify to use the best expressions. Thus, if you would like to be a master of expressions and socialization, recitation is not to be neglected.
经过前期的各班预赛与复赛,从全校挑选出11位优秀的选手进入到最后的决赛当中。在比赛中,这些选手也体现出高人一筹的朗诵水平,或抒情吟诵、或深情委婉、或生动活泼、或诙谐幽默,给人眼前一亮、耳目一新之感,赢得阵阵掌声。经过激烈角逐,赵英然、郭若谷、佟笑音获得初中组三等奖;张洋洋、石珂嘉获得高中组三等奖;熊诗雨、任子一获得初中组二等奖;毕宇辉、游博雅获得高中组二等奖;王子彦和贾文欣分获初中组和高中组一等奖。期待这些获奖学生再接再厉,在以后的学习中更进一步,取得更大的进步。
After the preliminary and secondary contests, 11 contestants went to the final competition. In the contest, the students showed us their best parts. After the final competition, Rebecca got the third place in middle school and Yalena and Caroline got the third prize in high school; Mark and Elsa got the second prize in middle school and Ed and Yolanda got the second place in high school; Tiffany and Amy got the first prize in middle school and high school respectively. We expect these students to show more of their talents to us in the days to come.

The people who worked behind the screen also made tremendous contribution to the success of the contest.
